I figured out how to make my orchids bloom (see previous post below). You buy a new one at BJ's for $15.99 :-))

Very pretty! How long can you keep it blooming? (Our Trader Joe's sometimes has orchids, but I've never checked the prices.)
I'm not sure, I'll let you know when it stops.
Other method: my aunt is a great orchid person. She usually manages to keep plants a few years at least, and to get rebloom after rebloom. (Me? I kill them.). Anyhow I was visiting and was admiring a beautiful white orchid in her kitchen window while she giggled. She told me to look more closely and I did and it was silk, poked in the pot with a not flowering plant. Ha. She said everyone thought it was real, which makes sense, because she usually has beautiful orchids. If I tried that everyone would know! So you might be able to keep those blooms going for a long time if you can just convince people that you are an orchid-goddess.
